It’s summer in Briar, and Evie is stuck between minimum-wage shifts, a distant boyfriend, and a dad with a new girlfriend. When her best friend Johnny comes back to town, nothing feels the way it used to. Across town, Asa is determined to finally have a good summer—until a rumor turns everyone against her and forces her to face the girl she used to be.
